Ben Newbould, the man who took an idea and created Velocity PT Academy. Ben prides himself on always learning and improving to ensure his students have the best possible experience, as well as ensuring that Velocity is constantly growing. He’s clinical when ensuring everything is done to the best of his ability, especially the office Fantasy Football. He’s like a young Fergie.

What is your specialist area?

My specialist area I would have to say has changed as Velocity has developed as a company. To begin, within the companies infancy, I would have claimed my specialist area would have been my knowledge in the technical parts of Anatomy & Physiology and been able to find ways in how to simplify them to students. Now, further down the line, I have taken a step back from a teaching role. I would claim that my specialist area is training and management of course delivery. This would be writing session plans, development of resources, creation of timetables and training of staff.

What is your ethos?

My ethos is that a professional is only as good as the training that they have undertaken. Therefore you should always look to take your education seriously when wanting to be a specialist in an area. The moment you take your education seriously, then others will take you seriously too.

What is the best advice that you have been given?

“To live your greatest life, you must first become a leader within yourself. Take charge of your life, begin attracting and manifesting all that you desire.” I’m a big believer in taking charge of your own actions and thoughts. You can either be your own downfall or your biggest source of motivation. It just depends on your outlook of situations. If you want to be successful, monitor the traits of successful individuals and one thing you will find consistent is that they all have control of their mind set.
