Guidelines for Personal Trainers & Coaches – Phased return

The Government recently published their guidelines regarding the phased return of Personal Trainers & Coaches.

“If you are a personal trainer/coach you can now work with clients outdoors, providing you are alone and only meeting with 1 person from outside of your household, outdoors, and you are staying a minimum of 2 metres apart.

You can meet with different clients in a single day as long as it is only via one-to-one sessions and you are maintaining social distancing.

You should also enforce strong hygiene measures.”

Whilst this is positive information moving forwards for many of you and our students, we want to re-enforce what the government is saying here. Sessions must be done on a 1-1 basis, whilst maintaining a minimum of 2 metres distance from your client. It is also vital to ensure both you and your client undertake the relevant hygiene measures in order to remain safe, this should involve wearing face masks, cleaning down equipment used and bring your own drink with you to the session.
